Holiday Inn Gaithersburg is looking for a Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our busy and professional team. This position assists in ensuring the restaurant, room service and banquets operates effectively, including adherence to all health regulations.  Uses leadership skills to assist in driving revenue, maximizing profit and ensuring quality.  Supervises assigned staff/departments to ensure achievement of overall financial results, guest satisfaction and positive team member relations. 

Responsible for ensuring smooth function of banquet events and restaurant during shift. May be required to work at Holiday Inn Express Germantown on occasion. Schedule will vary depending on events, ability to work am or pm required as well as weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Education:  High School diploma or GED required. TIPS or CARE beverage service certification or the ability to obtain certification is required.  

 

Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 12 months in a position requiring skills/abilities similar or equal to that of a Restaurant/Food and Beverage Supervisor.  Basic knowledge of culinary operation, restaurant, banquet and beverage service. Familiar with all aspects of tableside service. Excellent verbal communication skills needed. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast paced environment. Must have clean driving record, may be required to drive hotel van between properties.
